Chassis Type: 2012 CRG Black Star KF Applications: The CRG Black Star KF chassis is a combination 30/32mm tube chassis designed for 100cc, all the TaG Classes, 100cc Racing and of course the newest KF class racing, both in the U.S. and Europe. The softer Black Star is ready for your Rotax, TaG (Leopard, Vortex, Motori, etc) or 100cc engine. Kartspeed has both new and pre-owned engine options available -call us for availability and pricing. So for all of our U.S. customers....this is probably NOT the kart for you. The new KF Class is hugely popular OUTSIDE the U.S. Inside the United States, the TaG classes (Rotax, Leopard, Vortex, Motori etc) are still the engines of choice for our clutch kart customers. KF referes to an engine package that uses that same name. The rules package also includes the use of a special hand-operated front brake system....not to be confused with the 125 Shifter Karts that use the larger, more powerful hydraulic system. Those are two separate brake systems. So if you aren't familiar with the KF package, please inquire.
The CRG line is often referred to as the Ferrari of the Sprint Kart Racing World. For U.S. Tracks, the Black Star is perfect for 125cc TaG and KF Racing Classes. With the slightly softer chassis, the Black Star fits the need to carry that mid-corner speed so critical with direct drive classes.
